Canada’s Seat of the Senate

Ottawa in June
I was in Ottawa, Ontario for the North American Society for Sport Management annual conference in early June 2015.
On the evening we arrived in Ottawa, UBC (my undergrad alma mater) was hosting an alumni event. The event was hosted by several UBC alumni who now have roles in Canada’s House of Commons and Senate.
During the event, we had the opportunity to visit Canada’s Senate. At the end of the tour, we had the opportunity to sit in the chair of the Speaker of the Senate – a very rare privilege.
