  • Give spare change to someone who needs it more than you;
  • Start a _____ Compliments Facebook page for your school/town;
  • Help a lady who has fallen off the sidewalk;
  • Say hello to someone on the sidewalk;
  • Buy a ‘suspended’ coffee or many coffees;
  • Send a random thank you card to someone you haven’t spoken to in a while;
  • Give a little bit of change to someone in need;
  • Cook the best ‘bosses’ you will ever have, your parents, a nice meal;
  • Donate food to the local food bank at an event where you can donate food in lieu of an admission charge;
  • Teach someone you’ve only just met how to drive a standard car;
  • Giving water to a thirsty hiker;
  • Volunteer in the community;
  • Shovel the snow off the sidewalk in front of someone’s house;
  • Rake the leaves for a neighbor;
  • Be nice to a sibling;
  • Helped three different individuals find where they were going while I was in a foreign country;
  • Let a student share a cab with me to the airport – paid for it as they only had enough to eat lunch or split the cab;
  • Gave a Christmas present to my janitor;
  • Sat and did nothing for 2 minutes (okay, this may be more for me – but you have to try it!);
  • Put up a poster that had fallen down;
  • Slow down approaching a four way stop so the other car could go first;
  • Buy a coffee for a colleague;
  • Pick up litter;
  • Held the door open for 3 people behind me;
  • Let someone with one item go ahead of me at the grocery store;
  • Helped someone pick up their papers they had dropped;
  • Put up lost and found posters for a found camera in my apartment building;
  • Change over someone’s laundry
  • Buy drink for person behind me in drive-through at Tim Hortons;
  • Let a mom with kids go in front of me at the grocery store; and
  • Say thank you.
