Many immediately think of pyramids, the Sphinx and Cairo, when hearing, ‘Egypt.’ Upper Egypt (Southern Egypt), is full of just as much (actually, likely more) to see, experience, learn, and feel. Full of temples, the area is a brain over load with how much there is to see and learn about.
I recently was able to spend five days in Upper Egypt.
Some quick recommendations for places to visit and experience the awesomeness of Luxor and Upper Egypt, first-hand:
- Valley of Kings;
- Deir el-Bahari (temple);
- Luxor Museum;
- Luxor Temple;
- Karnaf Temple;
- Nubian Village;
- Nile River;
- East Bank; and
- West Bank.
This is a small list. There are many more wonderful and great things to see and do.
