Introvert Bucket List – as of December 2013

Introvert Bucket List

by Adam Goodwin | 2013 | Last Updated: December 19, 2013
I am a proud introvert! I have started an Introvert Bucket List – things a stereotypical introvert would likely not want to do. Let me know if you have something to add. These are not things I have necessarily accomplished – here for introverts to share, laugh, and enjoy (alone, of course).
The items off this list I am attempting will be on my personal bucket list.
Introvert Bucket List:

  • If a university/college student, run for a position on the student council/executive/office of a student group/club (sent in by a reader – thank you!);
  • Teach the world the power of introverts;
  • Teach the world it is okay to be an introvert;
  • Initiate many social activities;
  • Meet Susan Cain (an introvert ‘expert’);
  • Just go crazy;
  • Get a career in public events;
  • Be shy (as this is a common misconception) (sent in by a reader – thank you!);
  • Get out a lot during a week (sent in by a reader– thank you!);
  • Be the one to initiate a social event;
  • Really, really enjoy a phone call;
  • Truly enjoy an interruption when deep in thought;
  • Just speak what is on your mind (don’t think first);
  • Reveal everything you know;
  • Not change anything about you (sent in by a reader – thank you!);
  • Don’t stop being you;
  • Being centre of attention;
  • Being more outgoing;
  • Give hugs (sent in by a reader – thank you!);
  • For one moment, truly feel: this gathering needs a lot more people;
  • Stay until the very end of a party/social gathering;
  • Think out loud;
  • Get your energy from those around you for one event;

These are one person’s thoughts and opinions.  I welcome and strive to get your feedback and own thoughts. Feel free to comment below or connect with me via social media.

  1. Learn to give hugs 😛

  2. Not change anything about YOU !!!

  3. Hello Admin, I noticed you have a lot of traffic on your site. Over 10,000 readers! 🙂

  4. I’m a college student, so run for office in a club?

    • Hello, Yes this is always an option and good for the bucket list – I have added this item above! Depending on one’s definition of leadership and leaders, I strongly believe introverts are very strong, good leaders. Based on their strong ability to listen and use this input and ideas from the group to build and paint a large vision, introverts can excel in this respect.

  5. Hi
    that is a great post!
