United Kingdom – South Travel Spots

Since arriving in the United Kingdom I have been lucky enough to visit some locations in the South of England. A beautiful area! Some areas I recommend:

  • Alfriston – a stereotypical English town with a great little tea cafe and bookshop;
  • Battle – the location of the Battle of Hastings;
  • Birling Gap – the UK’s coast is being ‘eaten’ away by the winds and sea at 0.4 metres/year. Great spot to see this part of Mother Nature in action;
  • Brighton – the city of the south of England. Tons of little shops and parks. In ways, prefer to London;
  • Eastbourne – great city with lots of great shops and cafe. Beautiful beach and pier overlooking the English Channel;
  • Hailsham – a city with many modern amenities. Enjoyed it as different than the smaller English villages ;
  • London – needs no introduction or explanation;
